Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.  

 

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. Subscribing to our Newsletters

Under the GDPR, we use the consent lawful basis for anyone subscribing to our newsletters or news communications.  We only collect certain data about you, as detailed in the “Processing of your personal data” above. Any email newsletters we send are done so through an EMS, email marketing service provider.  An EMS is a third-party service provider of software / applications that allows companies to send out email campaigns to a list of users.

Email newsletters that we send may contain tracking beacons or similar server technologies in order to track subscriber activity within email messages (such as which pages of our website are being accessed). Where used, such messages may record a range of data such as; times, dates, I.P addresses, opens, clicks, forwards, geographic and demographic data. Such data, within its limitations will show the activity each subscriber made for that email campaign.

Any email newsletters we send are in accordance with the GDPR and the Privacy & Electronic Communications Regulations. We provide you with an easy method to withdraw your consent (unsubscribe) or manage your preferences / the information we hold about you at any time. How your information will be used

Security & how we protect your information

In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our Website; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

How long will we store your Personal Data?

We only keep personal data for as long as is necessary for the purpose(s) for which it was provided.

Any data that you submit using this web form will be held by our firm as Data Controller and will be held securely for 12 months before being securely and confidentially destroyed.  If you subsequently become a client of our firm and instruct us to offer advice and assistance or to use our Compliance Caddy software platform then we will likely keep your data for longer periods along with other data we process under our contract with you.  However, we provide separate data privacy notices to clients at the time of instruction and will confirm all relevant retention periods at the relevant time.

What are your rights?

You have rights under the Data Protection Act 2018 and the GDPR and these include the right to be informed what information we hold about you.   In particular, you have the right to request:

  • access to the personal data we hold about you, free of charge in most cases.

  • the correction of your personal data when incorrect, out of date or incomplete.

  • for example, when you withdraw consent, or object and we have no legitimate overriding interest, or once the purpose for which we hold the data has come to an end.
